A Short Guide to a Happy Life
by Anna Quindlen
Here is a quick read—only 50 pages with many photos—but it is chock full of wisdom. My guess is that it would resonate more with women than men, and more with women over forty than younger ones. I've given it as a college graduation gift, though, because the sooner you know these things, the better!
The Let Them Theory
by Mel Robbins
This theory is more complex than it looks but if used correctly, it can be life-changing. Mel Robbins does a great job of dealing with those complexities by providing examples across all areas of one's life. Her straightforward writing style and personal stories make this a fun and easy read too. I can also recommend her podcasts!
